United Kingdom, April 6 -- Amazon has officially launched the Kindle Scribe and Kindle Scribe Colorsoft in the UK, following their December debut in the United States.

The Kindle Scribe starts at £450, while the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft is priced from £570.

The standout feature of the new lineup is the Colorsoft model, which introduces a colour display alongside enhanced writing and drawing capabilities.

It is the first colour Kindle that allows users to write directly on the screen, making it particularly appealing for artists and readers who like to annotate their books.

Amazon has improved the writing experience, with pen strokes said to be 40 per cent faster than on the previous generation of Kindle Scribe.
