United Kingdom, Aug. 6 -- ZZ Top pulled the plug on their Hollywood Bowl concert hours before they were due to perform because of "insurmountable obstacles".

The Texas rock trio, led by Billy Gibbons, 76, had been scheduled to perform at the iconic Los Angeles venue alongside Cheap Trick on Wednesday (05.08.26), but shortly before the show was due to begin, the band announced on its official Instagram account that it would no longer go ahead because of "unforeseen personnel matters".

Ticket holders were told they would receive refunds.

No further explanation was given.

According to the band's official website, ZZ Top is still scheduled to perform at the Saroyan Theater in Fresno, California, on Friday (07.08.26.)
