United Kingdom, Sept. 11 -- Rey Mysterio banned his daughter from wrestling until she'd graduated.

The WWE Hall of Famer - whose son Dominik Mysterio is already a major star in his own right - has admitted while he has helped Aalyah, 25, take her first steps, he wanted to make sure she was taking the right approach.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "She wanted to try it before when she was still in school, and that was my only reason why I didn't let her.

"I said, 'You show me a diploma, and when you graduate, we can. I'll take you to the ring', and sure enough, she graduated last year, UCSD, Human Biology.

"[I] saw her diploma, she goes, 'Okay, Dad, now I'm ready to step in the ring.'"
