United Kingdom, March 5 -- Steve Carell thinks a parent's "heart is always breaking" for their children.

The 63-year-old star - who has son Johnny, 21, and daughter Annie, 24, with his wife Nancy Walls - admitted that he has never stopped "worrying" about his children, and that hasn't stopped as they've grown into adults

He told Extra: "Based on my life experience with my own daughter, and it's such a cliche at this point, but as soon as they're born, you start worrying about them.

"And I don't think that ever stops. Your heart is always breaking for them, and full and you know, watching the world through their eyes, even when they're adults."
