United Kingdom, July 20 -- Shakira feels proud of her association with the FIFA World Cup.

The 49-year-old pop star performed during the half-time show of the World Cup final in New Jersey, and Shakira feels proud that Dai Dai, the official song for the tournament, has become such a fan favourite.

Shakira - who created the song with Nigerian singer Burna Boy - told People: "This World Cup has been so special for so many reasons.

"I loved seeing the reaction to the song Dai Dai and how it brought people together, seeing people do the choreo and celebrate together with it."
