United Kingdom, July 24 -- Ricki Lake inspired Rosie O'Donnell to get a facelift.

The 57-year-old TV star has been candid about her decision to go under the knife in recent years, and Rosie admits that it helped her to follow suit.

Rosie explained to People: "As a feminist I always felt this is the patriarchy, the male gaze and not anything that I believe in.

"The biggest person I had to deal with was Clay (her youngest child) who said, 'Mommy, girls look up to you and what does your legacy stand for if you do this?"

Rosie delayed committing to a decision for six months, before she decided to take the plunge.
