United Kingdom, Feb. 11 -- Rose Byrne "burst into tears" when she found out she'd been nominated for an Oscar.

The 46-year-old actress was Australia when her partner Bobby Cannavale called to share the good news she had been shortlisted for the Best Actress Academy Award for her work on If I Had Legs I'd Kick You and admitted it was "really meaningful" to be able to celebrate with her parents.

She told Extra: "I was in Australia, so it was the middle of the night and Bobby FaceTimed me. He called and I, like, burst into tears.

"My parents got up and woke up and they were like, 'Oh, my God, did you get the nomination?' So, it was really meaningful to share it with my mom and dad."
