United Kingdom, Oct. 11 -- Reese Witherspoon wants to mentor the next generation of female stars in Hollywood.

The 49-year-old star was grateful for those who helped her out during the early years of her movie career and is determined to "pass the microphone" to those trying to find their way in the industry.

Speaking to E! News at her media company Hello Sunshine's annual Shine Away event in Los Angeles, Reese said: "Mentorship is everything.
