United Kingdom, Aug. 29 -- Lil Nas X is mourning the death of his mother.

The 27-year-old rap star has taken to social media to announce the passing of his mother, Tameka Hill.

Nas - whose real name is Montero Hill - wrote on Instagram: "RIP TO THE BADDEST EVER! LOVE U FOREVER, MOMMY (sic)"

Nas also shared a carousel of photos of his mother on Instagram.

The rapper - who has previously been diagnosed with bipolar disorder - added: "This one's gonna hurt. (sic)"

Nas hasn't revealed any further information about his mom's passing, but he's previously admitted to having a complicated relationship with her.
