United Kingdom, April 6 -- Prince Edward and his wife Sophie were reportedly forced to stay in a nearby holiday cottage over the Easter break after the former Prince Andrew allegedly refused to vacate accommodation at Sandringham.

Edward, 62, and Sophie, 61, are said to have planned to stay at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate but instead stayed at Gardens House, a separate property on the grounds, after Andrew, 66, is said to have continued to occupy Wood Farm while awaiting completion of renovations at his new home, Marsh Farm.

The apparent situation follows Andrew's earlier move from Royal Lodge in Windsor, where he had been based before relocating to Sandringham on a temporary basis.
