United Kingdom, May 4 -- Britney Spears has pleaded guilty to reckless driving after her DUI arrest in March.

The 44-year-old pop star did not appear at a Ventura County courthouse on Monday (04.05.26), but Michael A. Goldstein, Britney's lawyer, agreed to plead guilty following the incident in California on March 4.

Ventura County Commissioner Matthew Nemerson sentenced Britney to 12 months' probation and one day of jail, credited as time served.

Britney - who is one of the best-selling pop stars of all time - has been fined $571, while she's also been ordered to see a psychologist once a week and a psychiatrist twice a month.
