United Kingdom, Oct. 1 -- Pete Davidson's drug addiction "got scary" when he started "cooking" ketamine but he went to rehab after an emotional plea from his mother.

The former Saturday Night Live star has admitted he was consuming a cocktail of drugs including ketamine, acid, pills and marijuana and he started to become concerned when he realised he was no longer feeling "high" but it was a candid chat with his mom Amy which finally convinced him to to stop.

He told Variety: "It was K [ketamine]. I was getting liquid and cooking it. And I would do acid and shrooms [mushrooms] and whippets [nitrous oxide] and smoke weed all day and eat pills every day.
