United Kingdom, Aug. 17 -- Perez Hilton's family have confirmed the gossip blogger is still receiving inpatient care three weeks after being hospitalised.

The 48-year-old celebrity gossip blogger - whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr - was hospitalised on August 4 after self-harming in a disturbing TikTok livestream and his relatives have now given an update on his condition explaining he remains under the care of doctors and mental health specialists.

In a post on his website, a message from Hilton's family read: "To everyone who has reached out, checked in, and kept Perez and our family in your thoughts, THANK YOU!
