United Kingdom, Aug. 18 -- Paris Jackson underwent "painful" electroconvulsive therapy after she came "very, very close" to an attempt on her own life.
The 28-year-old musician - who has been sober for six years - has told how she was strapped down and "knocked out" with general anaesthetic before previously undergoing ECT treatment amid her mental health battles.
Speaking on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast about "getting electrocuted" after she came "very, very close" to a suicide attempt, she said: "I did nine sessions in three weeks.
