United Kingdom, April 23 -- Nicole Kidman had her team conduct extensive "research" in preparation for Lioness.

The Oscar-winning actress stars in the Taylor Sheridan-created spy thriller, but Nicole admits that she needed help to navigate the show's "technical jargon".

Speaking at the Icons of Taylor Sheridan's Universe event in New York City, Nicole explained: "It's been incredibly exciting, because it's like suddenly doing a thesis in the CIA."

Nicole, 58, had her own team of researchers go through every term in her scripts to make sure she fully understands what she is saying.
