United Kingdom, Aug. 6 -- Minnie Driver is "so grateful to be alive" after she and her friend Ben Homewood were involved in a "really bad" car crash while driving on a country road in France.

The 56-year-old actress is recovering from a sprained neck and shock after the Kia EV2 driven by the actor was "T-boned" by a vehicle allegedly "going at speed" and "didn't stop at an intersection" in a crash that she said was "not our fault" and forced them to "crawl out" from the wreckage.

In a video posted on Instagram on Thursday (06.08.26), an emotional Minnie wore a neck brace as she explained the incident to her fans and praised the Kia EV2's design and its 360-degree airbags for saving their lives.
