United Kingdom, July 14 -- Millie Bobby Brown credits spending time with monks for helping overcome her anxiety struggles.

The Enola Holmes 3 actress was involved in a scary incident in which she and her security were chased for 20 minutes by an unnamed party, which led to an anxiety attack lasting three months, but she finally found peace again during a visit to Kyoto in Japan with husband Jake Bongiovi.

Speaking to Jay Shetty on his On Purpose podcast, she said: "I went to Japan and I sat with these monks and it was the most amazing experience.

"I'm getting teary eyed talking about it, but it took me out of the cycle. I needed it."
