United Kingdom, Oct. 7 -- Michael Douglas has revealed how he and his late friend Rob Reiner found comfort in each other during some of their darkest moments as parents - as both struggled to help sons battling drug addiction.

The 82-year-old Wall Street star has recalled his more than 50-year friendship with Rob, who was 78 when he and his wife Michele Singer Reiner, 70, were found dead at their Brentwood home in Los Angeles in December 2025.

Their son Nick Reiner, 33, was indicted in July on two counts of murder with special-circumstance allegations, including multiple murders and lying in wait.

The indictment was unsealed in August and Nick pleaded not guilty to the charges.
