United Kingdom, Aug. 13 -- Matthew McConaughey wants his children to follow their own passions in life.

The 56-year-old actor's son Levi has already tried his hand at acting, but Matthew isn't insistent that he follows in his father's footsteps.

Speaking to Extra, Matthew explained: "It's open to how much he's going to attack trying to pursue this as a career. I'm letting him decide that.

"I'm not pushing him one way or another. I'm just trying to give him the resources and some tips along the way."

Matthew - who has Levi, 18, Vida, 16, and Livingston, 13, with his wife Camila - feels excited by his son's burgeoning acting career, even though he has many different interests.

The Hollywood star said: "It's one of the things he's doing...
