United Kingdom, July 7 -- Matthew McConaughey has urged fans to "lend a helping hand" following the devastating floods in Texas.
At least 78 people have died and dozens more are missing following flash floods in Kerr County on Friday (04.07.25) and the Dallas Buyers Club star reflected on the "shock" of the catastrophe in his home state.
Matthew, 55, penned on social media site X: "At least 70 lives have been lost, many more are unaccounted for, and countless Texans are hurting - inside and out.
"If you're able, please lend a helping hand where and how you can. It's gonna be a long road ahead, but right now the shock, the pain and the chaos need to steady hand of a neighbour."
