United Kingdom, March 1 -- Matthew Lillard wants to go "back in time" to take a Ghostface mask from the set of Scream.

The 56-year-old actor played one of the original killers - Stu Macher - in the 1996 film that kicked off the hit slasher franchise.

Matthew told People: "I wish I had one of the original masks. If I could go back in time, I'd steal the s*** out of that thing."

The star - who was cast as one of the Ghostface killers in Scream 1, alongside Skeet Ulrich (Billy Loomis) - then admitted he did not take any original props because Matthew was adamant about not taking things that are not his.

He added: "No, nothing. I wasn't really the era of collectables like it is now. I feel like people always want to know what you've taken...
