United Kingdom, Aug. 26 -- Luke Evans has hailed Tim Curry as an inspiration.

The actor died, aged 80, on Tuesday (25.08.26) and Luke - who recently completed a seven-month run in The Rocky Horror Show on Broadway playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the role Curry originated - has already taken to social media to pay a glowing tribute.

Luke, 47, wrote on Instagram: "He was a force, a bright fierce flame, an exquisite charm and that rich vocal tone, he was an inspiration to me and so many more people for the roles he played and the effect he had on so many of us."

The actor also thanked Curry for inspiring him in his own acting career.
