United Kingdom, April 1 -- Lizzo remained a virgin until she was in her 30s after promising herself she wouldn't have sex until she "won a Grammy".

The 37-year-old pop star has admitted she "lied" about her virginity "for a long time" because she found her lack of sexual experience "embarrassing" but she finally took the leap back in 2020.

Lizzo made the confession during an appearance on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, saying: "I was a late bloomer. I lied about it for a long time. Can I just tell you the year? 2020. Isn't that crazy. I wasn't even thinking about it for me I just promised myself when I was younger that I wouldn't have sex until I won a Grammy."
