United Kingdom, April 14 -- Lena Dunham put in "a lot of time solo" after Girls ended.

The 39-year-old actress shot to stardom as the creator, writer, and star of the hit HBO series Girls, which premiered in 2012, and Lena admits to becoming particularly reflective when the show ended in 2017.

She told People: "After Girls ended, I really put in a lot of time solo - romantically. I would say my biggest connections at that point were my family.
