United Kingdom, Feb. 9 -- Kerry Katona was convinced she was "going to give birth" when she was rushed to hospital last month.

The former Atomic Kitten star was struck down with severe pain and taken to hospital by ambulance before being diagnosed with painful bowel condition colitis - and Kerry has now admitted she mistook the symptoms for labour pains.

In her column for new! magazine, the mother-of-five explained: "I went into hospital in an ambulance because I was getting severe pains - I thought I was going to give birth! While I was there I had a CT scan and I was diagnosed with colitis.
