United Kingdom, March 16 -- Katy Perry has encouraged her fans to be "kind" and "take the high road".

The 41-year-old pop star dealt with any haters on her X account by spreading a message of kindness.

She penned on March 13: "i love you. be kind. always take the high road if you can my kc's. it's much lighter here. so excited to share my joy and light with you this summer. i already miss you. x (sic)"

One user replied: "can you at least drag ur haters for once. love light doesn't always work girl (sic)"

To which Katy responded: "they must already be in a lot of pain to be so unkind. i send them love and hope they can find their peace. (sic)"
