United Kingdom, July 8 -- Kat Graham has admitted new motherhood wasn't "exactly how" she'd imagined it would be.

The Vampire Diaries actress became a first-time mum when she welcomed son Prospero - her first child with husband Bryant Wood - in March (26).

But working on a new album with a newborn was an experience Kat wasn't prepared for, she admitted in a post on her Instagram page.

Sharing snaps of herself in the recording studio working on her seventh studio album K'Pelle alongside a baby pram, she wrote: "Spent 3 years making this album.

"Rehearsals. Shoots. Interviews. Airports. Global Citizen. FIFA. Baby!

"Weeks postpartum wasn't exactly how I imagined releasing K'Pelle, but profoundly motherhood was instrumental to releasing ...
