United Kingdom, June 16 -- Karen Gillan is prioritising parenthood over her career because she wants to be "present" for her daughter.

The 38-year-old actress and her comedian husband Nick Kocher welcomed a little girl named Clementine in 2024 and Karen has now revealed she's making changes to her work to make sure she can spend as much time as possible with the toddler.

She told The Telegraph newspaper: "My biggest hope is to be as present as I can for Clementine and to set her up well for life. I want to give my career everything I can, but without sacrificing being there for her. That balance is my focus now.

"The fear, I suppose, is not getting that balance right, but I'm making it a priority."
