United Kingdom, March 3 -- Josh Duhamel and Fergie split because they were "very different."

The 53-year-old actor has reflected on his 2017 break-up from the chart-topping singer, telling The Skinny Confidential podcast that their conflicting outlooks ultimately led to the end of their marriage.

Josh - who shares 12-year-old son Axl with Fergie - explained: "We're very different . Fergie and I, we have different views of the world. And that's OK."

Despite their differences, the Transformers star said he has "no regrets" about their time together, and praised his ex's approach to co-parenting.
