United Kingdom, July 24 -- Jon Bon Jovi sparked concern amongst fans on Thursday night (23.07.26) after abruptly cutting his New York concert short because he was "hurt".

According to a concertgoer at the Madison Square Garden gig, the 64-year-old rocker called time on the concert - the eighth in a scheduled nine-night residency at the venue - after 90 minutes, telling the crowd: "I'm sorry. I'm hurt and you're not getting the best of me."

He later told the audience: "Don't throw away your ticket stubs, I'm gonna figure something out, OK? Just hold onto it, we'll figure out how to reschedule.

"But I'm gonna have to cool it for the night. I feel great. I'll see you again soon, goodnight."
