United Kingdom, Aug. 10 -- Joan Jett is recovering after undergoing spinal surgery.

The 67-year-old musician has gone under the knife to fix a fractured vertebrae after sustaining a nasty injury and she's now embracing the "healing process" and focusing on "physical therapy". The operation has forced Joan to cancel a number of concerts in September to allow her time to recover but she's looking forward to getting back on her feet soon.

A statement posted on Joan's social media accounts explained: "Following a recent injury, Joan Jett has undergone orthopedic surgery on a fractured vertebrae and will begin the necessary healing process.
