United Kingdom, Feb. 27 -- Grey's Anatomy has aired a poignant tribute to former castmember Eric Dane following his death last week.

The actor played Dr. Mark Sloan - nicknamed McSteamy - in the hit medical drama between 2006 and 2012 with Eric returning for guest appearances in two episodes in 2021. He passed away on February 19 at the age of 53 following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Grey's Anatomy remembered him by airing a montage of his best moments on the show at the end of the episode which aired on Thursday (26.02.26).
