United Kingdom, Sept. 18 -- Lena Dunham is loving life as a mom.

On Wednesday (16.09.26), the Girls creator and her 40-year-old husband, musician Luis Felber, announced they have welcomed a baby girl, via a surrogate, in an op ed for Vogue magazine.

And a day later, a source told People that Lena, 40, "can't quite believe" she has a child after having had a hysterectomy in 2017 because of the pain from her endometriosis.

The insider added: "It still feels surreal to her. Every day, she has these moments when she looks at her daughter and can't quite believe that she's finally here.

"Lena has wanted this for such a long time, and she's just so beyond grateful."
