United Kingdom, Aug. 5 -- Gina Rodriguez struggled with postpartum depression after giving birth to her second child.

The 42-year-old star gave birth to her daughter, Lucille, last year, and Gina has now opened up about her experience of postpartum depression.

The brunette beauty - who also has a son called Charlie with Joe LoCicero, her husband - told Us Weekly: "I don't know what it was. How could I have known?

"I don't know what it was, but they were very different journeys, and it was my village that showed up that made it so much easier because . I needed help, but I wasn't afraid to ask for it."
