United Kingdom, Sept. 2 -- Gary Glitter has pleaded not guilty to eight historic sexual abuse charges.

The 82-year-old disgraced former glam rocker - whose real name is Paul Gadd - appeared via videolink at Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday (02.09.26) to enter a plea to a series of allegations relating to a young girl, who he has been accused of assaulting in the late 1970s and early 1980s when she was aged between eight and 11.

Glitter, who is serving a prison sentence at HMP Channings Wood in Devon following previous convictions, replied "absolutely not guilty" to two of the charges and "not guilty" to the remaining six.
