United Kingdom, May 25 -- Fatboy Slim was terrified to DJ his first set sober, but now looks forward to ending his night with a cup of tea instead of a drink.

The music superstar, real name Norman Cook, took to the stage at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend music festival this weekend, delighting fans as he spun the decks.

But before he made the decision to quit drinking in 2009, his sets looked vastly different - meaning that returning to the stage as a sober man was a daunting concept.

He told The Mirror: "The thought of DJing sober just absolutely petrified me. The first few shows I couldn't dance, my hips locked up and I'm thinking what are you doing here?
