United Kingdom, Aug. 15 -- Drea de Matteo has described joining OnlyFans as a "political statement".

The 54-year-old actress signed up for the adults-only subscription service in order to generate money to save her home but admitted it was also an act of defiance because she was losing work as a result of her opposition to COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

Speaking to Jamie Kennedy on his Hate to Break It to Ya podcast, she said: "In some ways, the OnlyFans page was almost like a political statement on my part in a way.

"It was like, 'F*** you. I don't need to work for your f****** corporation.' "
