United Kingdom, Aug. 26 -- Dolly Parton's Dollywood theme park will open as usual on Wednesday (26.08.26).

The country music legend died on Tuesday (25.08.26) at the age of 80 but the Tennessee tourist attraction - which she co-owned with Herschend Family Entertainment - have confirmed it will be business as usual this week, as per the Jolene hitmaker's wishes.

An emailed statement from Dollywood confirmed: "Dollywood will be open Wednesday as Dolly wanted, always reminding everyone with her signature sparkle -'the show must go on.' "

Dollywood Parks and Resorts President Eugene Naughton paid a heartfelt tribute to the iconic star and pledged to "carry her light forward" through the theme park.
