United Kingdom, Sept. 4 -- Dolly Parton's sister Stella says that her family have been "subjected to incredible pressure and insensitivity from strangers" since the country music icon's death.

The 77-year-old singer has hit out at the "AI and endless garbage" that has been posted about her sister following her passing from cancer at the age of 80 last week and implored the public to follow the example set by Dolly and "show more compassion" during the difficult time.

In an Instagram post, Stella penned: "First let me say, thank you to the ones of you who have shown 'genuine' support and love during this time of our family bereavement.
