United Kingdom, Aug. 31 -- Dolly Parton's sister has paid tribute to the late singer in a touching post, saying "there will never be anyone who can replace her".

The country music icon died aged 80 on Tuesday (25.08.26) after a "brief battle with cancer", and was laid to rest in a private funeral the following Friday (28.08.26).

Her family and friends have been sharing tributes and memories of the 9 to 5 star on their social media pages, with Dolly's younger sibling Freida the latest to post.

She began the Instagram post by thanking her followers for "bearing with me as I mourn the death of my big sister", and said she always called her "Dolly Momma".
