United Kingdom, Aug. 15 -- Courtney Love nearly died in 2019 when her "body just exploded".

The 62-year-old musician shared the terrifying health update in a new Instagram video as she explained to fans why her latest album has been delayed and revealed that seven years ago, doctors told her she was "doing to die".

She shared in the video: "A lot of you asking on my record is at. It's done. It's kind of been done. It's a really good record. I put a lot into it. I went to England in 2019, and when I went there, you know, my body just exploded. It just exploded, and I was in hospitals a lot. I almost died. I lost all my hair. I was about 100 pounds, and they told me I was going to die, and I didn't believe them."
