United Kingdom, March 18 -- Luke Combs purposefully avoids discussing politics.

The 36-year-old star is keen to avoid political labels and is instead focused on "just being a good person".

Speaking to GQ Hype, Luke shared: "That's the space that I would like to operate in, you know what I mean? Basically, just being a good person, and doing what you believe is right, and not getting involved in the minutiae of labelling it.

"Why can't you just be a good person and just be loved?"

Luke explained that he's keen to follow the example of Dolly Parton, who has remained popular with people on both sides of the political divide throughout her career.
