United Kingdom, Oct. 29 -- Connie Nielsen had to wear a costume that "weighed 400 pounds" for her role in new TV series Robin Hood.

The 60-year-old actress plays Eleanor of Aquitaine in the new epic drama about the English folklore hero and she has revealed that the gown and hair she had to wear for her role in the Middle Ages-set series took a physical toll.

Speaking at the London screening of MGM+'s Robin Hood on Tuesday night (28.10.25), she said: "That costume weighed 400 pounds, and the hair was another 200 pounds - it was so warm on those stages it became a moment of forgetting how your body feels."
