United Kingdom, June 12 -- Christina Applegate has managed to keep her "sarcastic, dry" sense of humour during her "extremely difficult" battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

The 54-year-old actress was diagnosed with the lifelong autoimmune condition, which can cause muscle weakness, vision changes and extreme fatigue, back in 2021, and has largely stepped back from the limelight since.

She hasn't been seen on the red carpet for the past few years, with her Married. With Children co-star David Faustino giving an update on how she's getting on during an interview with Us Weekly.
