United Kingdom, March 20 -- Chadwick Boseman and his widow Simone Ledward Boseman thought he "would be OK" after his colon cancer diagnosis.

The Black Panther actor passed away at the age of 43 following a private battle with the disease in 2020 and Simone has recalled how they were both "very confident" that he would overcome the disease.

Simone told TV show Today on Friday (20.03.26): "To us, it was going to be a challenging moment, but something that he would come out on the other side of and be fine. And they would do a surgery, and he would do some chemo afterward, and he would be OK.

"And there wasn't much talk at all of the possibility of him not being OK on the other side of that."
