United Kingdom, Oct. 9 -- Catherine Zeta-Jones relished using her Welsh accent in Kill Jackie.

The 57-year-old actress - who was born in Swansea, south Wales - usually adopts an American accent for her work, but Catherine enjoyed using her Welsh accent in Kill Jackie, the new thriller series.

Catherine - who plays the part of Jackie Price in the new show - told Extra: "I was able to use my own accent . My Welsh accent, which I've never used ever.

"Doing my own voice grounded Jackie in a way for me. And also, as an actor, there's a part of your brain when you're doing an accent that you're always kind of thinking about that. And sometimes it can take you out of a moment. It was liberating for me to just speak."
