United Kingdom, Sept. 27 -- Carrot Top has been released from hospital following his reported suicide attempt.

The 61-year-old comedian - whose real name is Scott Thompson - was taken to hospital following an incident in the Las Vegas area on 18 September and now his representative has confirmed to NBC News that he has been discharged, though no further information has been given.

The positive news followed a previous update on 21 September, in which the comic's representative confirmed he was awake and "breathing on his own".
