The Riverdale actress was blown away when she thought she was attending a friend's birthday party on Friday (24.10.25), only to discover her 33-year-old partner had actually planned a bash to celebrate their engagement, and he popped the question in front of their loved ones.

A source told People magazine: "She thought she was going to a birthday party for producing partner Rachel Matthews, but it was a surprise engagement party instead.

"Rudy proposed to her in front of their family and friends.

"Around 11 pm, they were still celebrating, so they went to Glen Powell's tracksuit and tequila-themed birthday party."
