United Kingdom, Aug. 3 -- Bruce Springsteen's wife Patti Scialfa is in remission after living with multiple myeloma for more than eight years.

Sharing the news during a fundraising event supporting cancer research, Bruce, 76, announced his music partner Patti, 73, is now cancer-free during a virtual appearance at Boston's Pan-Mass Challenge fundraiser, which raises money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Bruce spoke about Patti's experience with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer, while thanking researchers, doctors and nurses involved in cancer treatment.
