United Kingdom, April 17 -- Brittany Cartwright has admitted co-parenting with Jax Taylor is "not easy".

The Valley star has five-year-old Cruz with her estranged husband and two years after they split, she and Jax still have "issues", though they do their best to keep them away from their little boy.

She told Us Weekly magazine: "Co-parenting is not easy. We still have our issues, but Cruz does not see any of that.

"There's no toxic anything in front of him, no arguments, nothing like that. Cruz comes first to both of us. I love him, his dad loves him, so he's always gonna come first, no matter what, and he's just thriving right now, and I'm so proud of him."
